GREENE COUNTY – More than a dozen people have filed complaints with the Ohio Attorney General’s office about a florist in Greene County.
Brittany Evans of Riverside said she booked with Flowers by Des in 2019 due to a promotional rate she found on Facebook. Then, the day before her wedding, she received a message from the Flowers by Des Facebook page.
“He said it was Des’s accountant who said she was in the hospital and was unable to provide services for the weddings this weekend and that all reimbursements were in. during processing and message the customer service account for more information, ”Evans said.

It was about a month ago. Evans said she contacted the florist on several occasions, but still had not been reimbursed for the $ 106 she paid for her bouquet and her husband’s boutonniere.
“Flowers are one of the most important pieces. I mean, aside from the groom, flowers are something most brides dream about, ”said Angela Lemke, a wedding planner for 11 years.
She said Flowers by Des did not show up for one of her wives on another weekend in June. This bride has also not received a refund.
News Center 7 contacted the Ohio attorney general’s office and found out that these brides aren’t the only unhappy customers. 16 people complained to the GA, with several sharing similar stories about paying for flowers and not getting them or not getting their money back since a November 2020 wedding.

On June 18, News Center 7 contacted Desiree Pace via email. His team declined to comment.
On July 7, News Center 7’s Molly Koweek called Pace. She replied by text saying that she was not available to speak until Sunday. However, in a subsequent text message, she said, “It doesn’t matter how many hours we’ve spent letting customers know that we’ll be part of their big day and explain to them will be canceled. Others know they have 90 days for a contract refund and we stick to it. “
In the meantime, brides like Evans are still awaiting their reimbursement.
“If she was really in the hospital, I understand that. Things are happening. But it’s really unacceptable not to give someone money back, ”Evans said.
