But Koma has always had a flair for sport: he often drew inspiration from tennis and horseback riding, regularly uses technical materials to refresh evening figures, and dresses many stylish and athletic women, including Maria Sharapova.

For fall 2021, he added sportswear elements further into his designs. But that doesn’t mean he takes the easy route and designs average work-at-home gear like tracksuits. Instead, Koma aimed to channel “the sense of strength associated with athleticism” and the melodious comfort and glamor of daytime and evening wear in a way that seems relevant to how women will want to wear it. ‘dress when the world starts to open.

In an ode to Pierre Cardin, Koma also featured a graphic black and white pattern, custom printed dividers and a signature mini number for a striking effect.
Outerwear designed for another collection success – the oversized sheepskin cape returned from the final look was a true showstopper – and opens Koma to a whole new audience.
But as the designer carefully expands his offering, he hasn’t lost sight of what he does best: Cocktail dresses have remained strong throughout the collection and Koma has taken things up a notch with it. extreme, angled cuts and couture embellishments inspired by fine jewelry.
